About Sulo Health

Built for the messy reality of pediatric rehab

Sulo Health makes Sulo, a home-practice tool for pediatric therapy teams and the families they work with. We start with the part of care that happens at home.

Our story

Pediatric rehab is its own world

Pediatric care isn't a smaller version of adult care. The goals are different, the communication is triangulated between clinician and parent and child, and the home environment is the most important room in the building.

Yet most HEP and RTM software is built for adult orthopedics: long single-patient programs where the patient owns their own carryover. Pediatric clinicians spend hours adapting that software around the edges, juggling paper handouts, lost text-message updates, and clunky CSV exports.

The pediatric clinicians we spoke with kept telling us the same story: RTM reimbursement leaking out of their practices because the audit trail wasn't there. Parents quietly disengaging because the app asked too much. Clinicians staying late, building HEPs by hand.

Sulo gives families a simple way to practice and check in, and gives therapists a clear picture of how home practice went before the next visit. The RTM documentation comes along with it, in the background.

What we believe

Four ideas guide every decision we make

01

Pediatric rehab deserves its own tools.

Adult-orthopedic software with the colors changed isn't pediatric software. We build for the way children, parents, and clinicians actually work together.

02

Parents are partners, not obstacles.

Home carryover only works when it respects how stretched-thin parents already are. A one-letter text reply should be enough to say practice happened.

03

Compliance shouldn't fall on the clinician.

RTM billing requires meticulous time-tracking and audit trails. Software should do that work silently, not push it back onto the people delivering care.

04

Shaped by pediatric clinicians.

We aren't clinicians, so we work closely with pediatric PTs, OTs, SLPs, and BCBAs. Their feedback shapes what we build, because they're the ones who'd otherwise be doing this work on paper at 8pm.
